Idèen bak denne tur(b)logg'en er derfor ikke å lage noen ferdige reisebeskrivelser, men er derimot basert på erkjennelsen av at alle omtalte stedene har en historisk-, geografisk- eller kulturell begrunnelse for sin opprinnelse og sin fortsatte eksistens.

Tekst og bilder som er publisert her er sammendrag fra de ulike beskrivelsene. Flere bilder i bedre kvalitet finner du ved å klikke på logo'en over eller på linkene under. De eldste bildene er koblet mot Google Maps for å vise hvor de er tatt, de nyeste mot et større bilde i litt bedre kvalitet. Den automatiske oversettelsen gjøres i Google Translate - og resultatet blir nok dessverre der etter...
